Self-linkage April 26, 2007 7:26 AM Subscribe
Reposting on MeFi after a long period of lurkage. I need some advice about self-linking. While I know the rule is "don't!", I've worked with a video collective that would be relevant in light of recent posts about Night Flight. I don't run the site, but I feel that I should mention that I've worked with them in the past.
Can I post this website, and should I mention my involvement after a [more inside] jump?
Small problem: it's not closely related -- this is more recent and the quality of the films they're showcasing is different.
I don't run the website and have worked with them in the past, and the website does not link to my personal site. Before I post, I just want to make sure I'm in the clear (as it were).

If it's good someone else will post it on the blue, that's why we have Projects. It gives us an added layer of filtration.

MetaTalk threads that efficiently serve their intended purpose make me quite happier than they should, in the grand scheme of things.
But I don't care. I'm taking what I can get.

The advantage to being a member is not just that you get to post, you get to see the email addresses of members who've provided one. This is for just this kind of event. The done thing is to email your link to everybody on MeFi with the subject "UNIQUE POSTING OPPORTUNITY!!!!!". Play your cards right and it'll be double, triple, or even hextuple posted; which is itself the highest honor MeFi can bestow.
