Metafilter Runs 3: The Reckoning

So, it's been done and it's been done again. Is anyone up for doing a third one? I just got an ipod nano for my birthday and picked up the nike kit. I'll have the shoepouch shortly. Anyone want to do a May competition? I haven't created a formal one yet, but I think I can figure it out. I also figure I will be more likely to actually run if I am competing against someone. Is anyone interested? It seems to have been successful the last two times...

I suck at this. It looks like my post might be broken in IE. I think an extra quote or something in the "done again" link. Can someone fix?

The second Metafilter run was won by AJR, who ran 90.17km over 30 days. 11 mefites took part in this challenge.

Bdiddy, if you want I'll "reissue" the last challenge via the nike plus page. I believe that all the previous participants get a new invitation this way, and I can add any new participants who put their nike screenname in this thread.

Instead of the whole month, I can set up a run for the first 2 weeks of May, to accommodate adam. Starting May 1st?

In any case, I'm up for another go at the title...

pj, send out the invite for the first two weeks. Maybe after that we could do the second two as well. I am training for a 10k on the 27th and wouldn't mind having those miles in my total. :) Anyway, my name in the nikeplus world is bDiddy. I think. And hopefully my shoepouch will come before may 1.

Assuming, that is, that this worrisome numbness in my left leg is diagnosed and treated by then. I'll confess to being a little freaked out.

Just post it here, sanitycheck, if it's different from your mefi name. pj_rivera will then send you an invite, which should show up at whatever e-mail addy you registered with Nike. There'll be a link for you to click and confirm you're playing along!

Damn, I wish I could take part. Had to drop out of the last one halfway through because of my creaky hip. Nevertheless, it was a great motivator to try and clock up at least a few Ks each week against those bloody champions doing about 18 Ks per week (!)

And congrats, of course, ajr. 90.17 Ks in 30 days! Small wonder I did my hip in, just thinking about that effort makes me hurt.
