London meetup photos (Feb 2007) February 17, 2007 6:20 AM Subscribe
Photos from last night's London meetup. Straight from sueinnyc's camera to my Flickr account to your face. Features health warnings.
Cool. What's the deal with this? The photo is a very-pixelated snap labelled "Happy Valentines Becca and Devin", but then the All Sizes thing shows a normal photo of Optamystic. Does anyone else get this, or is it some weird caching issue afflicting only me?

Yeah, I got that too, matthew. I thought chrismear was trying to send me a secret Valentine. Obviously it was intended for you.

It also seems to change photo from time to time, so at one point I got a moody anime-style shot of someone. It also affects one of the other photos in the set, this 'un.

In fact, some of the thumbnails are buggered too. Bloody Flickr. I'm going to reupload some of them and see if that fixes it.

Nope, it's a Flickr-wide problem. Twiddles thumbs and waits for them to fix it.

If you want to see any of the photos that are being mischached, just click the Other Sizes button, and it'll show you the original.

I just clicked the Other Sizes button for a photo of Optamystic and the Large size had a painting of a plane, while the Original size was someone's ass.

According to the Flickr folk it should be fixed now, though you might need to do a shift-reload.

There's something else wrong with the Flickr database. When I click on a photo of myself, I see a drunken jackass.

Nice job on the titling there, CM! Though I thought we agreed on optamystic being a screwdriver; that may have been just me though.
*blushes at Jameson*
Amberglow: Well, I haven't moved to london yet, but I was there for house hunting. Or to be precise, I was there getting my time wasted by nefarious and annoying (the latter is worse actually) estate agents, as it turns out.
I'm back in NL now for at least a few days, albeit sans bagage. Luggage handlers and estate agents, the first against the wall when the revolution comes.
Yes, I assume you mean atrazine, P_G wasn't there.

Obviously, I need to make my presence felt in London. I'll have to show up in a Lotus, wearing my Danger Mouse eyepatch. Preferably with essexjan and/or hugsnkisses on my arm(s).
I doubt I'll be forgotten much after that.

Wilder - I think the 'B' might have stood for something else. It was an obscure reference to a comment you made to econous on MeTa regarding his wandering eyes at the Cheshire Cheese meet-up.
But yes, we had been drinking rather heavily by then. And I was playing 'catch-up' as pennance for my tardy arrival.

Gah! I look like Humpty-Dumpty.
I enjoyed meeting the London contingent--and the good food on Brick Lane, but man, that tout was aggressive (the ones on E. 6th st are nowhere near as persistent). Why can't you have naan, jrossi4r?
Did anyone get a picture of the fox?
