Why can't I add to playlist from the index page of music mefi?

The man's got a point. I know it'd be a small style break, but what if posts on the front page of Music featured a two line footer, like so?

Speaking of music, I just figured out a way to listen to mefisongs without them being the top window. You just click on the comments and play it from there, and you can listen to mefimusic while doing other stuff. I am listening to a mefisong as I am typing this. Did everyone else already know this? This is going to allow me to listen to much more mefimusic.

ND¢, do you mean "opening" the song's own page and playing it from there instead of playing it from the main page of MetaFilter Music?

I've always done it like that, and it sometimes work and it sometimes doesn't. That's what's more annoying about it, that it seems random, or related to a very simple problem that only someone with high computer skills could figure out.

I'd love to find a way to solve it, though. Perhaps No. 1 could call a contest, similar tho that Blowjobs for Gold Stars, only this time around people don't have to give head, but rather use it to figure out the flash player problem.

Hey, can we use the occasion to suggest new features for Metafilter Music?

Perhaps to have a little option for the lyrics, like this:

posted by safetyfork [lyrics] [+ add to playlist] [add to favorites] [!]

And when you click on it, you get the lyrics in a small pop up, like here.

I know we the posters can put the lyrics inside, in a comment, but sometimes that takes up a lot of space, and not everyone necessarily wants to see the lyrics.

That sort of pop-up doesn't come if you don't request it and it works with Firefox, even with Adblock enabled.

Thanks mathowie! I just started listening to mefi music, and it is nice to be able to add directly to the playlist so I can go through the backlog.
