Deletion Reason November 7, 2006 11:39 AM Subscribe
I find the deletion reason for this thread to be insulting and in poor taste. Why not use your time instead to fix up your server, which has been slow and unresponsive for the past few days?

So you overreact to a deletion reason, something ephemeral and unseen by almost everyone, attached to a doublepost which is, if I'm following this correctly, an excerpt of the content of a previous post in which you yourself commented, and use this complaint as a platform to take an errant swipe at the guy who runs the place—and you're not being an asshole? True story: For a while before I joined, I thought dios was a moderator.
The post was a double, 'tis true. But I don't think the christianity atheism threads are always the same. We could always impose per-discussion rules, like "no using the verb 'to be'" or something. That should make for an interesting thread. It would at least force people to think before posting (myself included).
Now on with the waterboarding...

Mathowie testy? Jesus, I would have cut off boo's hand by now if I were him.
Wow, I didn't know he could do that. From here on out I'm posting via speech-to-text while screaming at my monitor from across the room.

What's most interesting about Cameron, et al, claiming that the banana is proof of God's design is that the common eating banana was specifically engineered by humans to have these specific traits.
So, actually, Christian creationists are dumb.

Alors, si nous allons parler français, je vais vous dire que j'ai rien a dire. Voila.

Happily, Babelfish sadly mangles that into this:
Then, if we will speak French, I will say to you that I have anything has to say. Veiled.
Which I wish I had posted.

Find me a creationist who won't trot out the tired and incorrect examples of the banana or the eye at a drop of a hat and you might be on to something, q.

OC, do you mean any creationist—someone who believes in the creation story as how the world came about—or are you restricting your condemnation to outspoken evangelistic creationists?

When it comes to how the universe was created, I don't really give a shit what people think. When it comes to the proven fact of evolution through natural selection, then yes: anyone who claims that evolution does not occur, and that all things were created in their present form by a deity are - to be frank - stupid as all hell.
If they want to wave their hands and say "well god created the universe/world and made life that then evolved," I don't care.

I was simply pointing out that Matt's deletion reason did have some truth to it: creationists are dumb.

But you didn't say anything about the stupidity of internal beliefs. You claimed that every single creationist will use your banana example at the earliest opportunity.

Yeah, I know, and of course they are, but I'm still hoping for some bloodshed and tears.
