A curious thing: On 5 occasions in the last 9 days, I've seen AskMeFi posts containing the phrase "Hope me," in a context where I'd expect the questioner to use "Help me." Is this MeFi slang (or general/internet slang) I don't know about? Or just an odd coincidence? [more inside]

15 years ago today, MefightClub was born when herrdoktor posted about hosting a private Metafilter Team Fortress 2 server. Not that much later, stavrosthewonderchicken put up some forums and started the ball rolling on providing a home for the best little gaming community ever. [more inside]
