Meta mini isolation GISH, anyone?

I'm definitely already staying in my house all day and behaving strangely. Perhaps we could make it a team effort? May 2020 GISH minihunt

Registration closes May 25th, event is May 30/31. Teams are 9-15 people, 15 USD per individual.

Personal caveats: I've not GISHed before (mostly because August is always a hellmonth) and have zero organizational skills.

I have not GISHed, but would happily give it a try. I enjoyed the Metafilter April Indoor Scavenger Hunt quite a bit.

I've never participated in this, but have enjoyed a few other taxing real-world scavenger hunts in the past. I'm in for joining a mefite team, if one happens.

My spouse is also on board to join. She's not a mefite, but she's been to a few meetups, is an academic weirdo, and is very nearly one of us, even if she doesn't know it. (But, if the group gets too big, one or both of us are happy to step back and let others join instead.)

In case it's useful to others - the website payment mechanism fails with an indefinite pause and no error message in firefox with many privacy add-ons, but it works in chrome.

Yes, I don't know if I failed at reading, or if something changed, but sign up is open until midnight PST today (not yesterday!) I think you can just use the team name to add yourself.

If one wanted to join the team, do you sign up first and then find the team name? Never GISHed before either...

The credit card payment mechanism didn't work for me in Chrome or Opera, but paying through PayPal did.

I haven’t been a team member, but I DID paint a portrait of Jenson Ackels with paint I’d made from Skittles to help a friend’s team. So share your weird needs if you think I can help!
