Looking for an old question about relationship experiences... October 6, 2014 7:27 PM   Subscribe

I have been combing through AskMeFi looking for a question that I remember reading approx. 2 years ago about relationships. I cannot find it here or in google search. I am curious if anyone has bookmarked or favorited it and will happen to remember.

The post asked something like, (I am paraphrasing from memory):

"I am curious, what was your relationship like in the beginning with your significant other whom you ended up marrying and having a successful relationship with? Was it passionate right off the bat or slowly warm up over time. Was there any conflict early or smooth sailing? How and when did you know they were "the one" for you?; please share your experiences."

I remember that there were lots of great answers and shares and I would love to find it again.

The answer was probably "DTMFA and get therapy for yourself" anyway.

Was it "Eat the MFA"?

Was it "Eat the MFA"?

That's at least better value than ending up $70k in debt for the MFA.

I've eaten an MFA. They're kind of stringy and get caught in your teeth, like celery.

Come to think of it, there were lots of recipe suggestions. Lots of stews and pot roasts.

I know that question wasn't actually intended to taunt the chronically single, but, well...

Haha, showbiz, sorry for dragging everyone into my masochism. I now wonder what the whole point to this exercise was too.

Yeah, good thing I didn't read that post while having a glass of wine. I'd be sobbing into it about now. Stupid relationships. Always ending in break-ups or death.

Unfortunately this thread is not currently showing time indexes, so I wondered if incolorinred answered their own Meta in record time? If not, what is the quickest someone has answered their own Meta? (Heh, can't wait till pb posts a Meta and answers it himself, man that will be in nanoseconds.)

Yep Athanassiel, let's just embrace the ridiculousness of the human condition. The absurd feature about relationships, especially really good ones, is their resemblance to a landmine in that they tend to blow up spectacularly when you are no longer on them.

marienbad, it may be approaching a record, but do we also count the 1800.3 seconds pre-post time?

God dammit that thread is closed to new comments. WHAT IS THE POINT OF BEING SMUG AND MARRIED?

I vaguely remember an old post of people comparing proposal stories I've been meaning to drag up...
