Any chance the mods want to redirect the Bradley Manning debate in the leak thread towards the Bradley Manning thread?
I've flagged all the current Bradley Manning comments there as derail, including my own. I don't feel they necessarily need deletion just yet, but maybe worth watching.

If someone wants to gently suggest that something makes more sense in another thread, they can do that and that's fine. We're not really generally going to put much effort into micromanaging the content of various wikileaks-related discussions.

I like how, in the thread that was originally posted to say "hey look! here's a rare instance of a media outlet addressing the content rather than the circumstances of the leaked cables!", so many of the comments are about Assange and Manning rather than, you know, the content of the cables.

The characters and motives of Assange and Manning are directly related to the insubstantial merit of the cables' contents.

Your attempts at jadedness have been noted. You're not convincing many folks, though.
