Mexico City Meetup this week?

I'l be in Mexico City this weekend, and would be great to meet the Mexico Mefites again. Friday the 27th would be best for me, and I guess somewhere in the Condessa area is as good as any.

I could do Friday; Wednesday or Thursday would be better, but whatever works best for the crew.

On second thought, Thursday may not be a great idea: Local gabachos, at least, might likely have expat-Thanksgiving plans.

(For what it's worth: I messaged a few folks who were at the 10th anniversary shindig and haven't popped up in this thread yet.)

If we can get this nailed down, a little sidebar action might help the cause too.

It's a cantina in the Centro Historico where Villa shot a bullet into the ceiling; the hole's still there. I only meant to suggest that Cobalt and I work out our grudge there, but if people want to take this meetup thing out of the Condesa (advantage for most folks: more convenient) and to the Centro (advantage: variety of surroundings), that could work.

I'd prefer Condesa (I'm staying way out of town, it'll be pain to get back), but any other place, other than Groove is also fine.

OK, taking the bull by the horns here. Let's call it 9 p.m. at Don Keso in the Condesa. I'll be there and hopefully folks will show up; if not, I'll just enjoy the copies of the New Yorker that my friend Matt imported a couple of weeks ago, no worries.

Location is at the corner of Amsterdam and Parras, between Parque México and Parque España. I'll call the owner now to reserve a table. Google Maps.

Ended up being just dhruva and me, but as we largely sat on opposite ends of the room at the Groove meetup, it was a pleasure to be able to get to know him this time. Fun mellow evening; come back soon, dhruva.
