Pepsi Blue...Hawaii will be sold in Japan this summer. We'll have photos from the next Tokyo MeFi Meetup (TBA) with our Pepsi Blue Hawaii in hand.
Mmmm....tastes like Elvis!

In Japan, where people drink sweat, I would think Pepsi Blue couldn't be much worse.

There's a candy shop here that was serving cucumber soda the other day.
The first two sips were delicious. After that, I'd had enough cucumber to last me a few months and I had to put it down. I think if they sold it by the shot glass it would be just right.

Fantastic idea! Just add some Pimm's #1 and a slice of lemon, and you've got instant summer deliciousness.

where people drink sweat
The only thing better than a cold beer when the temperature is 110 degrees with 99% humidity is an ice cold Pocari Sweat. It tastes like Gatorade, but...better.

I've never really had any interest in seeing Tokyo at all, but this weekend I watched Adrift in Tokyo, and now I can hardly think of anywhere I want to visit more.
Is it really such a nice place to walk around in, or does the movie just select the walkable parts of the city and conceal the bits that look awful?
And if you haven't seen the movie, I suggest you remedy that soon. It's great.

When I think pineapples and lemons, blue is always the very first colour that comes to mind.

Since about, oh, 80 to 90% of the city looks, by most objective standards, awful, I'd say, yeah, they concealed those bits.
Don't get me wrong, I love Tokyo, but, for looks? Well, it ain't no Prague, Rome or Amsterdam, I'm a'tellin' ya right now!

I saw this at my local combini (convenience store) this morning when buying breakfast. I'll buy one at lunch and report how it is.

Ok, I finally got around to it. Here's a pic, if you're interested. As you can see, it's pineapple and lemon flavor, two yellow fruits, so naturally it's colored blue. It has a strange spice flavor to it, like cinnamon. It reminds me of the hot cider my Mom makes during the holidays, just for a second or two when I took a swig. Say cinnamon, cloves, that kind of thing. That taste fades, and then it's yet another over-sugared syrupy carbonated drink. Maybe it reminds me of ramune, but because it's blue, maybe that's just my mind playing tricks.
As I expected, nothing great, nothing horrible. Pepsi Blue. (Hawaii).

Ok, I found it today at my convenience store. zardoz' description is pretty accurate. The pineapple flavor is much milder than the cloying Pineapple Fanta. I like that the fruit is more aromatic than capital-F Flavor, and am wondering if the spiciness has any relation to the fact that all the new Dews (in the States) have ginseng in them. Maybe this does too. Yuck. Anyway, it smells really sweet, but it doesn't taste overly sweet to me. And I think the ramune thing is in your head, zardoz, it doesn't seem similar at all to me.
