Istanbul WAS Constantinople. Now it's Istanbul, not Constantinople.

I'm sorry. COMPELLED. Also, I would totally love to meet up with you there Meatbomb, but I think it isn't within walking distance of San Diego.

Why they changed it? Alien technology allowed them to move it across the Atlantic.
