Attention all Brisbane Me-Fites! Anyone else interested in having (what I believe would be) the first ever Brisbane, Australia Metafilter meet up sometime soon?

Sure, but please pick a weekday evening rather than a weekend or I'll more than likely be somewhere near the middle of nowhere trying to get closer to nowhere.

(I think the stars may happen only in MetaTalk comments. Probably a decision to prevent the blue masses from swamping MetaTalk with the question, "What the hell is that little star next to Effigy2000/madamjujujive/hindmost's name?")

Yes, the star is only visible in MeTa.

And a weekday would probably be preferable for me too, given I work in the city and a pub in the city is probably where this thing would be held.

I propose we avoid the Valley because... well because I'm not fond of it.

I'd be fine with evenings, though there is O-Week on right now and classes & meetings after so I'll have to see my schedule. But count me in!

Hey, I'd be in! I got back from world travels this morning, so haven't been reading in any colour for a little while. Luckily I'm a pathetic addict and am reading the back pages of MeTa to catch up...I could possibly make a lunchtime thing and any evening but wednesday or monday would suit me. (I frequent the Regatta, it's pretty nice on a weekday). As for other users, checking your user page (congrats, by the way!) shows a nice list of nearby members, somebody could email those with an email listed?
