Xmas week works for me.

possible venues:

1. Billy's up in Easttown. Depending on the night it can get pretty loud in there, but the beer is cheap(ish).

2. Founders down on Monroe would work. Good beer and usually not too packed.

3. The Anchor, down in the Barmuda Triangle (across the river) has a nice old school feel and is usually not too loud or crowded.

Week of Christmas would work for me. How about Thursday, the 28th? As for location, my preference is for somewhere I can actually hear people.

But if I might, I'd like to disqualify the Anchor. I have an annoying co-worker who hangs out there, and I just know I'd run into him that night, and never get rid of him.

Given the inevitable shitstorm of press and the resulting 24/7 lockdown of downtown (Bush, Cheney, and the rest of that gang are all going to be in town) that Jerry Ford's funeral is going to create, what says the GR contigent about our plans to meet on Thursday night (8PM) at Founders? Are we still on?

Actually, it looks like he'll be lying in state at the Capital in DC over the weekend, so we shouldn't have any real craziness here until next week. Lets keep the original plan, if that's all right with everyone.

rikhei--I posted a reminder on the Front page of Metatalk. Theres a link to Google maps in the comments (I screwed up the formatting in the FPP). I also have a couple of Quonsar-centric (Q, your pissing elephant and trouserfish needs should be accommodated) callout things I'll bring along as well. If I get there before anyone else, I'll grab a table. Otherwise look for a big blond guy with a goatee (actually it's more of a VanDyck, but whatever) and a Lebowskifest t-shirt--that'll be me...
