gigFilter: Just out of curiousity, who has real-world events they'll be participating in the next week 7 days?: Live Music, Plays, Gallery Showings? Anything you have going on that's open to the public?

I have a music gig this Wednesday, 9pm at the Continental Lounge in Des Moines, IA, open to the public.

The gig thing seemed like a better idea before I typed that and realized it applies to a vanishingly small minority of MeFi users who 1) live near me, 2) like the style of music I play, and 3) would read gigFilter.

Not really a "gig," but I'm teaching a series of free knitting classes for people who want to quit smoking. I'm in Sydney, Australia. Would that be acceptable for your hypothetical "InviteMe" site? Because I'd pimp it there, if I could.

I have two gigs in the next 7 days - one at Corner Bar and one at Kraftbrau.
Bluegrass and sacred harp.
In Kalamazoo.

...I seriously doubt that promoting them on a website would increase the fraction of a fraction of the bar-take I get to pocket, though.
