Potential Fiery Train Wrecks Averted! April 15, 2006 10:56 AM Subscribe
Two AskMe posts on interracial adoption and interracial breeding within an hour of each other. They had the potential to become fiery train wrecks, but instead, the answers were thoughtful and civil. Thanks for the quality discourse!

Heh. How about we be normal human beings and pretend that it would be really weird if there had been train wrecks, and leave it at that?

I'm assuming the fact that I'm having a 'every free parking space for a 2 block radius around my house taken up by attendees of the Catholic Church around the corner' weekend means I picked the wrong one.

I axed the parody answer and wrote the commenter a note saying that, on the off chance that he was being sincere, to please try again.

Gamblor: absolutely. I didn't mean it as a rebuke; I really just meant to suggest that assuming this could be the norm is a sort of optimistic ideal I'm willing to aim for.

It's true, you would have thought someone would have leapt in and told these people that breeders are scum, and adopting just encourages them.
