So, I've been striking out lately on getting my posts to stay up on the Blue. Not complaining, but it would be good to see the deletion reason. Sadly, I can't get the deleted post script to work on my (Safari) browser, or for that matter on Chrome. I really don't want to have to return to Firefox, which I hate only slightly less than IE. We have the automatic memail when a post goes up. Is it possible to get a nice pony that sends a memail with the deletion reason when the post goes down? Thanks much.

I respect and understand that lots of new work is being/has just been done on fanfare and the whole of metafilter, so I get that additional projects might not be forthcoming right away, aaannnddd.... I'm wondering about fanfare books? [more inside]

With various open threads such as the Nepal Earthquake Thread and the UK Election thread, it makes me think that certain threads where significant events come up days or weeks later, that the moderators would be able to re-promote those existing open threads to the top of the front page, as though it were a new post. [more inside]

Could we please give users the option to get two kinds of fanfare-related memails?

1. An alert when someone starts a thread for an episode of a podcast/show that you're following on MyFanfare. (This is perhaps redundant, but I can't be the only one who doesn't think to wander over to MyFanfare that much…)
2. A digest listing all of the new shows, podcasts (not individual episodes) and movies added to FanFare in the last week. I can't even think of all the media on which I'd be interesting in seeing the community's perspective, and this would be a good way to discover that other folks want to have those conversations as well.

We just added the ability to follow specific tags in My FanFare which should make it a bit easier to follow movie clubs and favorite topics. [more inside]

Between my fat thumbs and vintage iPhone 4 occasionally having browser stutters, I occasionally manage to mistakenly hit the [!] and scroll through the reasons list in one misplaced thumb swipe. I'm talented like that. [more inside]

On FanFare, would it be possible to have the option to subscribe to a film club like you can subscribe to a tv show? [more inside]

I have my preferences set to open links in a new window, but if I click on a user's website from their Profile page, the site opens in the same window. Is it possible to get those links to act like other external links? Is there a downside to changing it that I'm not seeing?
