New version of MetaDash widget July 12, 2005 12:37 AM   Subscribe

As an update to this thread I have written a new version of the MetaDash widget, with numerous improvements (resizing, scrollwheel support, automatic updates, variable update timing, cache bug fixes, and others). Screenshots and downloads are available from the linked site.

Matt, if you create an RSS feed with tags, category and poster information, this could be used to automatically add tags to del.icio.us posts, as well as provide information to do category filtering (e.g., only view technology feeds).

Just out of curiosity, why the Rothko account and not the AlexReynolds account, given how prominent your name is in the URL and page?

And your MeFi user page for that matter.

because I closed all his accounts and didn't know he had this one last sock puppet. It's fine though, as I was going to lift the ban on his main account, but he kept commenting with this one so alas.

Well, a polite sockpuppet, at least. That's got to count for something.

At least I am not the only one who is confused about identities.

The changes you made are good ones. Again, many thanks!

The only "bug" I noticed is that <small> text is choppy even at 800x600. Bad news for fans of y2karl.

How's about a Konfabulator version?

I'd do it, but it would take years of study for me to even begin.

(...wait, AlexReynolds got banned? When did that happen?)

Rothko: We disagree often and heavily, but that looks like a damn nice widget, and it's a shame I don't use a Mac to try it out. Thank you by proxy.

I fixed the update problem caused by changes in how yesterday's 10.4.2 update handles opening URLs. The new version is available on the metadash site.
