I think there is only one solution, an all metafilter meetup, a Loya
Jirga if you will, every active member meets and we vote on:

1) Newsfilter.

2) Complaining about threads, in threads.

Then, we have a big puppy pile, get drunk, stay up all night crying about how our mothers never loved us, make breakfast, leave and never speak of it again.

That shit is out of line and fully lame. Unless I am missing a joke. Other than that witty is a malignant twisted homonoculus, I got that one.

I vote now and at the sex and regret party that if you don't like a post, don't comment, flag and move on and if you want to improve the tone do so in an active manner.

I have a lot of respect for most of the MeFi liberals, old and new. Troutfishing, y2karl, mediareport, rushmc, dhartung, and orthogonality, for example, make cogent, interesting points from time to time. They make this place better.

You, on the other hand, are a steaming pile of dung who somehow figured out how to use the internet. You're a master of dim-witted hyperbole who routinely drops STFUs when others somehow manage to offend your delicate sensibilities.

I'm happy with the FPP, clearly labeled as an update. I'd not have heard about it otherwise. Lack of updates to stories is one of things I learned to hate about plain old News sources. Something interesting would break, and that's the last I'd hear of it.

1. This was a place where people could exercise their freedom of speech in regaurds to said thread.

2. Alex Reynolds has taken a lot of heat. I am not siding with him or anything but I think theres a proper place here at MeTa to deal with your issues with Alex or how bad the Mary Cary post was.

3. I was tired after a long day so if it sounds like a weird rant, I suck.
