Summertime, and the meetups are easy... So hey! NYC MeFites, you just had one meetup, howzabout looking in your crystal balls to think about another? I'm going to England sometime in August or September. [more inside]
(also: London Mefites, you're next on my list to arrange a gathering. So be prepared!)

Post again in mid-August and we'll plan then? Labor Day is hit or miss--our Memorial Day meetup was smaller than normal just last Thurs.

Amberglow: maddeningly, I need to buy tickets in the next week or so (I need to nail down dates for my friends in London, so they can coordinate their own vacations). I was just curious to see if Labor Day is generally a time when folks stay in the city, or if there's an overall sense that most everyone (or at least the usual NYC suspects here!) flees for the last weekend of summer. If that's the case, I'm happy to make plans to pass through NYC a different weekend -- which, if your Memorial Day turnout is an indicator, seems like it might be a good idea.

Haven't most people cleared out of Black Rock by Labor Day these days what with the burn on the previous Sat..?
As for England, as the most succesful meetup was outside of London, why don't we try that again? Especially as Aug/Sept in London is stinky & polluted.
I put forward Brighton...50 mins out of London on the train, a grand day out and some classic seaside. Even if you get only 5 people there it'll beat the last few UK meets ;-)

I'm afraid that August and September are too late for me, since I'll be living in Wisconsin and getting married and whatnot by that point. I demand you rearrange your travel schedule around a person you have never met! Or, not.

See, I can't even plan more than one week ahead, how am I supposed to plan a whole three months ahead?
I will try my hardest to be around when you are, because I haven't been to the new moma yet either (I know, shame on me because I live in this city).
