Incidentally, I swear to God I had a dream about mathowie last night. I was making my way through a train station, from platform to platform, up and down stairs, and when I spotted him he glanced up from his newspaper without recognition, and then back to the paper. He appeared disheveled, with the disinterested expression of someone who's recognized in public all the time. He also had a "warmer" presence than I expected: he was dressed only in a t-shirt and jeans, as if the weather were quite comfortable, his hair was loose and wavy, as if he'd been sweating, and he was way tall and broad-shouldered, rangy and confident.
