Are there t-shirts? July 17, 2003 3:49 PM Subscribe
The BushFilter ad redirects to MetaFilter. Are there t-shirts?
Aren't there a whole series of ads that lead back to mefi? I think people take out the ads as a way of donating to the cause and making a cute little injoke at the same time. One, if I recall correctly says "This is the website you are looking at" "Bushfilter" is probably a paid for joke.

timeistight does that, yeah. Someone did it repeatedly when I launched them. I don't find them very useful, but what am I going to tell someone to do? Spend their money on something worthwhile?

Spending money to support MetaFilter is not something worthwhile?

Oh you know, something a bit more fruitful than assisting all of our prostates via a series of 1's and 0's.
That said, the "This is the site you are looking at" ad did make me laugh.

Right now, MeFi looks like as good a place as any on the web to get a preview of the meltdown of the current administration (at least until Matt gets MoJo into beta, sounds like it'll be a superior scandal-tracker). Which may be the unspoken reason some of the more prominant MeFi conservatives are running away.
Should I feel terribly guilty about giggling at some of the things on this web page?
