Have signups opened again?

Welcome to ascullion, a member since May 1, 2003. Did I miss something? When did new users signups begin again? Only asking because I've got a couple of online buddies who would be interested.

I'm going to be reopening up the admissions soon, but only letting a small number in each 24 hours, like last time. Over the past few weeks, I've let some student researchers, journalists, and frequent participants of mefi irc in.

Matt, as far as I know, the 3 daily #mefi members who aren't on MeFi, attackthetaxi (aka taxi), bongy, and Jester aren't yet members.

Be that as it may, I'd like to vouch for the intelligence, simpatia and general goodness and desirability of the three #mefi regulars riffola mentions. There's quite a thorough screening process over there, even if it's easygoing and lighthearted, and taxi, bongy and Jester all passed with flying colours.

I'm eternally grateful to have slipped in without having to undergo a "thorough screening process."

Now if only I had come up with a clever name when I first signed in (something like Hoosier Daddy... or maybe Dick Schnell, or Ophellia Tittsoff, or Formica Dinette, or maybe... )
