MetaTalk archives have stopped indicating new comments May 13, 2003 8:41 AM   Subscribe

MetaTalk archives (e.g., May) have stopped indicating new comments. This makes it hard to find recent comments in threads that have fallen off the main page.

At least in IE6 on Windows 2000 they have.

I had to remove it, because if sessions timed out, people got errors.

Would you consider putting all active threads on the main page?

I think making MeTa threads expire quickly was deliberate, and a good move considering how quickly they seem to deteriorate.

I second timeistight. The five-posts-on-the-page thing was always annoying, but now it's really annoying. If MetaTalk is worth having, threads here should be treated with the same respect as on the blue.

I agree. If I put all active threads on the front page of metafilter, it would cease to be useful beyond the 4 or 5 people that are yuk-yuking it up.
