Do you like good music?

After deserting my post for a year (lockdown fist bump to anyone and everyone), I've peeped into MeFiMusic and found it a little quiet but still absolutely loaded with good music.

So I'm just raising the flag again to y'all and inviting you in!

Music lovers? Come and enjoy your MeFi comrades' creations and leave us feedback! We need the feedback, it is our life blood, our fuel, feeeed us Seymour.

Musicians, please come and join us. Got stuff to post? Please do, from the barest acoustic idea to a full scale production, we love it all.

Moreover, please join me in the Talk thread about potential upcoming Music Challenges and have your say.

Lastly - our beautiful regulars, my favourite children. Thank you for commenting, for posting. I've got a year of posts to catch up on, so please let me know the cream of the crop so that I don't miss anything - I'm thinking of resurrecting the music podcast and I want All The Hits on it!

Extending grim high-fives to all comrades who feel like they should have been super musically productive during lockdown but actually spent all the time trying to make sure they kept their jobs/kids happy/sanity. Sending you creative inspiration on the breeze and wishing you a fertile spring as we hopefully emerge from it all.

I like good music! And also it is nice to see you, greenish. I'll pop over the to the Music Talk thread, but just wanted to toss a note of exuberance and support in here. It's been a weird year, some music would be a nice upside.

Thanks for highlighting MeFi music! I've always been aware of the music tab up there, but I've never really checked it out. Over time my musical tastes have drifted away from Releases by Important Musicians to whatever I stumble upon in bandcamp, and this dovetails nicely with that trend. Community over checklists, or something.

Anyway, thanks again. "Stream Recent Tracks" has been guiding me through a bit of early-early morning insomnia.

Anyway, I think it fosters a culture of creative output and input that you cannot find elsewhere on the site; it's a friendly place, there are no "issues" or arguing (except maybe about music, and musicians love debating music!), And really, it's been my favorite non-blue area of the MetaFilter ever since I've been a user. More on my ramblings about this in the post greenish references above.

If you have a chance to collaborate musically with greenish, DO SO.
