162: Grip It And Rip It

Jessamyn and I do what we do best: manage to show up and record a podcast despite it all. We talk about (a) a bunch of COVID stuff and (b) a bunch of stuff that has nothing to do with COVID and (c) the whole process of trying to navigate that balance. I drink most of a tall beer. Jessamyn is hopped up on decaf coffee. It's wild. Runs about 80 minutes.

ah okay. on the popular podcast My Brother My Brother and Me, the eldest brother justin mcelroy has a bad habit of loudly opening soft drinks on mic which requires editing by Griffin. Griffin has taken to overtly and loudly acknowledging the offense with GRIP IT AND RIP IT as a recurring descriptor.

The only other time I've heard "grip it and rip it" was in luging, which makes sense with how they start their runs. Who knew it was such a diverse little phrase?
