With the blessing of the lovely and talented mochapickle, I'm keeping up the mefi valentine exchange traditon! Come one, come all, and share a little love!
This is a classroom-style valentines exchange and any kind of valentine is fine! You'll be matched with a group of awesome mefites to send and receive 12ish-15ish valentines within your group.
It's easy. Contact me by memail by midnight Eastern Time on Thursday, Jan 23 and let me know:
Your name
Your mailing address
Your email
Whether you'd prefer to send US only or anywhere
If you wouldn't mind sending a valentine or two to a latecomer
(If you are European and would like a Europe only group, let me know as well - I recall there being requests for that in needlegrrl's recent holiday card exchange, and I can definitely try to accommodate that if there's interest again!)
I'll email addresses back to you on Friday, January 24!

Does it matter what kind of valentines I send?
Not one bit. Construction paper hearts, dorky kids' valentines from grade school, masterpieces of doilies and ribbon, postcards dappled with heart stickers, doodles that keep you sane at work, it's all good. The important thing is just to share some happy through the mail at a time when most of use could use a little more of that.
Is this part of that Metafilter Card Club I keep hearing about?
It is Card Club-adjacent, in that we all love sending and getting mail. You'll need to enroll here, though, to be part of the classroom-style exchange.
I'm nervous about postage for sending globally from the US. What's that like?
It's not bad at all. If your valentine is the right weight/size for standard mail, you can use a $1.15 global stamp from the post office.

Many, many grateful thanks to the wonderful the primroses were over for taking this on and making sure we can all have a happy mefi valentine season!
I'm recovering from surgery this month (everything's okay! just moving a little slow!) and so my valentines will likely be a little loopier and more whopsided than usual, but I am excited to send them, whatever they will be!
Warmest thanks also go to the lovely danabanana for always offering to help out, too!
Note: Everyone needs a valentine!

Yay! This is very exciting! Thank you, mochapickle for starting this (best wishes for a speedy recovery!) and to the primroses were over for making sure the valentines wouldn't be over!
I was just looking through my valentines from last year and it was so much fun and very heartwarming. I'm very much looking forward to another round of valentine fun!

Yippee! I missed the holiday cards due to annoying life complications, but I’m so down for dorky valentines. Thanks for setting this up, the primroses were over! And mochapickle, I hope you feel right as rain soon.

All of my lovely valentines have been released into the world of the postal system. Several crayons were employed in this endeavor. And an iron. Somewhere in the joy of creativity I, too, lost track of international priorities. Rest assured they are swimming patiently through the mail, looking forward to reaching my V pals.
