MeFites for the Holidays November 3, 2019 7:05 AM   Subscribe

Continuing a tradition started by filthy light thief this thread is a place for MeFites to connect for the holidays.

The process is the same as in previous years:
  1. Potential hosts who would like to open their tables and/or beds should comment with their home cities and note what day(s)/holiday(s) they're opening their homes.
  2. Potential guests should contact a host directly via MeMail or email to coordinate and work out any potential complications (food allergies and preferences, dishes offered, style of meal and topics that could be discussed that might cause discomfort or arguments) before exchanging contact information.
Now is also a good time to review your location, profile, and mail settings.

I'm in Syracuse NY. Specific plans for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner are still in progress, but we will be at home and happy to welcome a MeFite or two to our table.

I'm in Seattle. My friend group always goes for Szechuan food on December 25 (we're a mix of Jewish, Pagan, UU, and non-religious). I'm happy to add 2-4 more people. PM me.

We'll be hosting Friendsgiving on the Saturday after Thanksgiving (so the 30th but not 100% sure what time yet) here in a bit north of San Diego. PM me, I love cooking for people, and we're happy to accommodate food restrictions, since we're already a very food-allergen-managing household!

I'm in Austin and have liberal, loving parents who host Thanksgiving and Christmas and we have extra space at our table. We usually do a big dinner on Christmas Eve.

Also if you're visiting Austin but find it easier not to room with family you're welcome in my guest room.
