Congratulations to oh yeah! for making one thousand FanFare posts.
From the third episode of Penny Dreadful to the pilot of the Roswell reboot, oh yeah! has populated FanFare practically from the start four and a half years ago, from pilots of shows that no one bothered watching to most of the DC TV Universe.
We thank you for your continued service, oh yeah!.

Coming from somebody who spends most of her time in FanFare whining about the shortcomings of "most of the DC TV Universe" I can say that oh yeah! is always a welcomed presence in those threads. Nice to know we're not the only ones to benefit from oh yeah!'s enthusiasm.

Out of curiosity, I just looked at my FanFare stats. Sadly, they're creeping up on oh yeah's. Apparently I've been spending way too much time in the FanFare corner of the DCCW. It's funny that what you admire in somebody else, you're not as fond of in yourself. Ah, the mysteries of life.

In honor of oh yeah! and the DCU I'll add:
Holy Aaron Copland, Batman, that's a lot of fanfare!
This looks like a job for oh yeah!
and finally:
In brightest day, in blackest night,
No TV shall escape their sight.
Let those who ignore DC's plight
Fear oh yeah!'s power--FanFare's delight!"

Oh, wow! A metatalk callout? I am truly a mefite now.
I had noticed my post count creeping towards 1,000 - when it hit it at Roswell I almost mentioned it in my comment, but figured it would be kind of a derail', so seeing this metatalk has me grinning and blushing.
I'm so grateful for the existence of Fanfare. I love our little DC-CW-verse, whether the thread is for celebration (Praise Beebo!) or commiseration (oh, Barry, so dumb, so often). And I've had some really enjoyable binge-postathons -- there's something really exciting about going into a show relatively blind, then getting to watch other people going through the same journey via Recent Activity. I think I'm proudest of the threads for Travelers, 3% (season 1 anyway, it was just me & the crickets for S2), Alias Grace, Dark, and The OA.

I noticed you were over 900 during your annual Every Pilot Yes Even The Shitty Ones binge, and it has been torture watching the odometer creep toward rolling over.

Thank you for your posting! I found Travelers and 3% (I have not yet gotten to watching S2) through you. I always make a point to check out posts from you knowing it is highly likely I will enjoy whatever you are!

Yeah, aired yesterday I think. I think it's pretty good so far, whether you watched the original or not.

Thanks for all your work, oh yeah! I usually go read and favorite FanFare posts about shows after I see them, even if I don't have anything much to say about them. I like seeing any new comments come in; it feels like a long, slow conversation among friends.

I should probably update my profile info one of these days, but, my username came from a former coworker—once she hit on a nickname for you that she liked, that was what she would call you forever after. So, Melissa was ‘Miss Meliss’, Bethanne was ‘BA’, etc. One day she joked that she bet I was a cheerleader in high school, which I found hilariously horrifying, as I was your average sad lonely dork girl in high school, so then she started doing a little cheer at me “My name is [real name], oh yeah!”. And from then on, that was her name for me - whenever she had a question for me, she’d call out across the cubicles, “oh yeah, when is [whatever]?” I’d never really had a nickname before - aside from the lazy “Hey, red” which every redhead must get, since my actual name is only 2 syllables and not really in need of shortening, so, it was all very endearing. Eventually that coworker got a better job elsewhere, and when I was struggling to come up with a username back in my Metafilter lurker days, I realized I missed being “oh yeah!” so, problem solved.
