The sudden uptick in volume and quality of posts is very noticeable! Congrats and keep em coming.
Aside: I also appreciate the balance of Christmas and non-Christmas stuff to cater to both those who dig on Christmas and those for whom Christmas is a hard time of year.

ugh.. my first post and I screwed the word order of the last sentence so bad XD
I suppose the lesson is to always take a few extra seconds to do a quick grammar check, even if you're in a rush to get out breaking sad news.
A big congrats to cybercoitus interruptus. Jewish people are by and large pretty pro-choice, regardless of faith level. It's just not considered a baby until its closer to being born and our idea of ensoulment is much different than Christians. And there's some stuff in the Talmud that's largely interpreted as being pro-choice. It was really refreshing to see a pro-choice Christian who is pretty religious. It's pretty common to see pro-choice Jews who are hyper religious, but astonishingly rare to see the same of Christians. It's nice to have a pleasant surprise on that front for once. Serious kudos for that interesting post.

It gets better. Well, not your spelling, grammar, and other errors you'll only see after hitting "post," but you get less hung up on those mistakes. (But you might still get a twitch to click the "Edit" link that just. isn't. there.
If it's really bad, or really bothers you, you can always as a mod to edit it, they're great folks.

Agreed with flt. The information and links presented in the post are way more important than grammar and spelling and such.
There were nearly six years between my first post and my second. A lot of the time I feel like I can't create an interesting enough post for the links I find or, as in the past year, I'm without a functional computer and it's too exhausting to put a post together on my phone.
But now that I have a computer again (as well as reliable healthcare and ADHD meds, which I've also been without for the past year), I have plans to finally make the posts I've had floating around in my head for months/years. Hooray!
(The Hey Alma post was totally impromptu; I stumbled across the site last week and enjoyed it so much that I wanted to share with MeFi. And I'm not even the target audience, as I am neither Jewish nor a millennial.)

Those are often the best posts, or at least quite interesting.
(But you might still get a twitch to click the "Edit" link that just. isn't. there.
... like when you notice you didn't close the parenthesis on a comment half an hour later, or when someone else points out a weird word in your post ....
Read thrice, click post once -- my new mantra ;)

That's the ideal! Please don't feel you have to construct a megapost; it's fine for those to whom it comes naturally, but when I encounter those I usually just click on or two links if I'm not frightened away entirely. I'm much happier with a short "Here's something neat I found on the internet!" post. Keep up the good work!

faceplantingcheetah sharing the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards for 2017 because Everyone Loves a Clumsy Owl.
I know it was mentioned in the thread, but this is the most delightful eponystericism I've seen in years. :D
I too have noticed the great increase in quality and quantity on the front page, and I'm basking in it. Thanks so much, all you posters!

Oh gosh, I'm not ungrateful, I just didn't notice this until now! Thanks y'all! Totally didn't expect to win anything. There have been so many fantastic, fun, fascinating posts. The front page has been more of a relief to read than usual, lately. Congrats especially to first- and second-time poster winners!
