Anyone up for a MeFi fantasy football league this year?
I set one up on yahoo, max 12 teams, will draft with 8 or more. Tentative draft time Wednesday, September 6, 10pm eastern time.

Joined! I've never used Yahoo for it before and am on a strong run of drafting subsequently injured players this year, so why not...

I'm in.... the draft is at "stupid AM" in my timezone so I'll play with the auto-draft settings.
There has been a MeFi league the last couple of years, I don't know if there's any easy way to contact those players....

Yeah, I tried messaging them through the chat from the league last year, but no one responded.
If a different draft time works better for everyone, I'm open to it. I just thought that might work ok for at least all the continental US players.
Also, sorry this is all last minute; I got all weird and anxious about making a post and being the one in charge.

No problem about it being "late" :)
And also don't worry about timing either - I'll either adapt or just rank players accordingly.

Oh, yeah, I'll be autodrafting due to time zone too, so the curse of knee injuries might not apply to my team this time round!

YES. Thank fuck. Thought I was going to have to go without. So hard to get a league on this side of the Atlantic.
I was in the last league, but didn't get a prompt that chat had been updated - or at least if I did, it went into spam. Odd.
Despite the 2AM draft (UK time) I will be doing it live. Part of the fun!

I won last year, but was 10/12 the year before. ANd have two other leagues this year. So we'll see :-D

To explain the Eliminator game, (and link to it again):
Each week, you pick the winner of any NFL game. No spread, you can pick any game. Win and you advance to next week. Lose and you're out. The only rule is once you pick a team to win, you can't pick them again.
If you don't join by the Thursday game, you can still pick any of the games on Sunday or Monday. Join!!

It's the littlest league! Looking forward to weekly scores in the 130-150 range, though.
And even if I don't win, I look forward to bragging about my roster to strangers.

I seem to have done the best in my 12-person league's draft and the worst in this one. Drafting is a land of contrasts! I too look forward to roster bragging--I suppose I never have to reveal how many teams rank below my projected 4th-place finish...
