Per Rotato Ad Astra! MefightClub's 2014 annual charity donation drive has come to an end for another year [2013][2012][2011][2010], and I'm proud to announce we've collected US$4300 for Child's Play and charity:water.
This latest drive brings us up to a total of $23,691.66 donated to charity over the past five years, and I am as always incredibly proud of the kindness and generosity of our gaming community.
This year wasn't quite as successful as past drives, but we came close to our goal, and that's largely down to the incredible generosity of Fishbike. Special thanks are due to him for his fund-matching, and as always, thanks everyone who kicked in, and to Matt and the crew for Metafilter, without which MefightClub would never have been born.
In case you still haven't heard of MFC, it started back in 2007 as a gaming-centric satellite community of Metafilter, and has been growing steadily since. If you're a lover of games of any stripe and not yet a MefightClub member, and are looking for a friendly, generous, grownup, diverse crew to have fun with, then please do stop by and say hello. All are welcome!

it seems like the me and stav (mostly stav) show at the moment.
I keep hoping that it will take off and become A Thing, I sorely do, but so far not so much. Some day, perhaps. Some day.

Wow that is *really* impressive. Good work!
(I never heard of charity:water - here is their blog and mission statement. Nor had I heard of Child's Play, which brought to mind a movie. About page / FAQ.) Once again - well done.

Whoo hoo! Good work, one and all. I am trying to focus more on how nice people can be, rather than wallowing in contemplation of the horrors we visit on each other (I'm an Eeyore, not Pooh, most of the time). So, thank you for this post of niceness to meditate upon.
