Just an update to a closed post re: a New Orleans street performer August 16, 2014 4:53 PM Subscribe
Back in January, flapjax at midnite posted an item about some street performers in New Orleans entitled, "just a little folk music for y'all." I opined that it was a shame that the performers' identities were not recorded.
I was surprised to hear at a professional conference this past week that the identity of one of the individuals has been (most likely) discovered. He was CoCoMo Joe Barthelemy.
I find it encouraging when information like this is uncovered. Joe passed in 1990 but his art is no longer anonymous.

The video from the post seems to be down. Anyone got a better link to it?

Thanks for the update, what an amazing thing to find out about a video from 1928. Nice to hear CoCoMo has been recognised and to hear him playing his homemade kit again, so thanks for the updated link, zamboni - it still sounds phat!
