Abuse Complaint Handlers July 29, 2014 1:44 PM Subscribe
I'm trying to find an FPP about the people who handle abuse and content complaints at various social networks. It went into detail of various policies about therapy after having to look at such terrible stuff every day. Does this ring a bell?

I remember reading several comments by people who had modded OKcupid to this effect, but i don't remember what FPPs they were in. It's come up multiple times for sure.

Here is an example; I am sure there are other people who have written about their experiences here.

Did it also highlight the fact that the people who do this are most often women in their 20s? I read that, though I'm not sure it was from MeFi.
I think that was the Hate Sinks one above, and honestly it really doesn't do a good job proving that "fact", and additionally makes some other weird specious claims and rants off in odd directions(like the weird crapping on "liberals").
It logic which created that article, and i use that term loosely, seems to be women are expected to be more readily capable of emotional labor than men > women are disproportionally represented in jobs in that category like library work where that's an invisible part of the job to some people> therefor most moderators are women!
Doesn't stop it from getting repeated over and over, though.
