Is MeFi down?

www.metafilter.com appears to be down. I can access other subsites, but not the blue - just me?

I'm getting the following error when trying to access www.metafilter.com:

Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.
Cookie
/n
Apache Server at www.metafilter.com Port 80

Ask, MeTa, Music etc are all fine.

Although, I did once get this very bug myself one time. It turned out to be something wrong with my end rather than the blue's end. (I can't remember what someone advised me to do, and I think it sort of fixed itself anyway. I was at work and things were a little buggy.)

This came up late last week. It's a bad cookie or a bad extension you need to update.

Cleared cached and disabled extensions and I'm back in the room. Sorry, I even saw that thread last week!

For future reference, I find down for everyone or just me a good place to check if a site is down, especially if there's no handy MetaTalk type of option to check with others.

If you do an FPP about MetaFilter, then that crashes MetaFilter. Otherwise, it's up 24/7.
