Small display bug in mobile, bold menu August 12, 2012 5:10 PM Subscribe
Minor display bug in mobile style sheet on the blue only: menu at the bottom is bold, inside posts.
The menu (at the bottom) is bolded when you're inside a post, but not when you're just on the blue's front page. Doesn't appear to happen on the green or the grey. Seems to be happening on every post in the blue, as far as I could tell. I'm using an Android phone.
If I knew how to take a phone screen shot I would. :)
It all works fine, it's just bold. Started a week or two ago, as far as I can recall.

Android 2.3.4, WebKit/533.1. Weirdly, when I log out, it DOES happen on the front page, but NOT in the interior post pages. (Logged in the interior post pages the menu is bold, and the front page it is not.)
Does not happen in Firefox for Android, logged in or logged out.
After clearing cache, etc., it happens inconsistently, but it still happens, sometimes.
(Again, it's not a problem, I just noticed it and thought it was odd because it was only on the blue pages.)

I just took a look at the site in an emulator running Android 2.3.4 with Webkit 533.1 and I'm not seeing the bold menu.
A couple weeks ago we added the note to the top banner about the August post contest. I'm not sure why that would be causing any problems, but you could try clicking hide to remove it and see if that's related somehow.

What brand of phone is this? It's possible, but somewhat unlikely, that it has a screenshot feature. In Gingerbread (2.3), screenshotting could only be accomplished with a rooted device (which is somewhat of a chore).

I'm not seeing what E. McGee is talking about but I am seeing the "skip to menu" link a little displaced downward on Dolphin/Android 2.3.7(CM7.2). Here's a screenshot, you can see the link hitting the line below it.

The "skip to menu" link change is caused by the August top banner. Go ahead and hide it if that's bothering you.

Hiding the banner works.

Turning off August banner seems to have fixed, I will keep an eye out to see if it returns.
Love the poems, quidnunc. (And don't worry, online people often think I'm a dude, I don't mind. I figure it freaks them out when the discussion turns to uteri.)

Started doing it again with the new banner, but only sometimes, and I can't discern a pattern.
