The Phantom Gifter strikes again.
For the previous two years, on or about my birthday, I've recieved packages at my workplace full of gifts, with a card signed "Happy Birthday, The Internet."
Although, this year, instead of flowers, it was full of yummy gingerbread cookies. So the tradition and mystery continue.
Thank, Internet

The Internet NEVER gets me anything for my birthday. People keep telling me I should DTMFA, but then who would keep me company late at night?

*kicks self for not sending anonymous package to jonmc*
*slaps forehead for not realizing again that I don't have jonmc's IRL address.*
It would be fun if we could add an optional birthday item to profile page that gives an idea when user birthdays fall. Though I haven't figured out how we could provide mailing addresses without sharing them with the whole world. Maybe we could do an SQ style deal year round for birthdays? I must admit I love all the anonymous present things we do on MetaFilter.

There is a birthday option on your profile page. You can even click on it and see every other user with the same bday.

You are a lucky man. All I ever get for my birthday is contempt and indifference. And they're not even gift-wrapped.
