Shape Shifting Reptilians about to acheive Complete Control over the planet April 16, 2002 5:32 PM Subscribe
This is going to sound like a bizarre joke, but did anyone else on the 'Filter get spam about "Shape Shifting Reptilians about to acheive Complete Control over the planet", with a link that leads to this guy's site. It was sitting in my inbox when I got home today, I can't think of where else on the 'Net I coulda picked this up, and if it's a prank it's a good one, but it's so weird that only a MeFite could've come up with it.
So Anyone else or just me?
So Anyone else or just me?
He's well known in Canada, at least, because there were disputes at the border about whether to allow him into the country for a reading - many said his "Jews are shapeshifting lizard aliens" comments fell under 'hate speech'.

I just read Jon Ronson's "Them". It's got a great chapter on wacky David Ickes...

I've just spoken with my reptiles, who believe that any implied association with this guy is damaging to their reputation. They plan a class-action lawsuit.

What a psycho, although I do have to give him props for this hilariously perceptive 'blue pill' page.

This guy, of course, would be in the phone book under "Icke David," which I would pronounce as "Icky David," which seems just about right. Funny, though.

i remember him here in the UK when he used to be a TV presenter.
Then one day he just went wacko.

Marquis -
Have a look at the Ronson book (the Icke chapter in its original form as a Guardian Weekend article) - the thing is that organisations such as the Anti-Defamation League think that Icke is using the words "reptiles from another planet" as a codeword for "jew", whereas in fact he means "reptiles from another planet".

Man, I wish I got spam like that! I keep getting the same old "Herbal Viagra" and "Get out of Debt" crap. I might have actually bought one of those "I know the biggest secret" coffee mugs he's hawking on his site.

Just as I was reading this MeTa post on the main page, "BE A MAGNET THAT ONLY ATTRACTS WOMEN" spam landed in my inbox. I'm forwarding it to evanizer.

Funny, I've only just finished reading Ronson's "Them" as well. If I've had any spam, I must have missed it. Mailwasher does a brilliant job of filtering it.

I actually believe he's not a wacko but in fact someone with pretty sharp business acumen who realised he could either stick around as an ex-soccer star and a has-been sports presenter... or become the Son of God and make a tidy living while being revered by a loyal bunch of disciples. Oliver Stone's tried for years to become a detested / ridiculed conspiracy theorist and David Icke just strolls in and takes the job.
