I've created a new page on the wiki for images.
Over time, many Mefites have created either Metafilter-specific art, photographs, and Photoshopped images, many of very high quality. They are currently scattered throughout the site. I've added a page on the wiki to collect links to the images in one place. If you care to add things to the wiki yourself, please get permission from the rights holder if they aren't CC-licensed. While it's not strictly necessary, I suppose, it's polite. If you can provide a link or nomination, but don't want to edit the wiki, leave it here or MeMail me a link and I'll add it.

The Migs Signal needs to be on there, although it sadly no longer works.

Thought about that but I think it really belongs there with all the rest of the stuff actually hosted on Metafilter.com. I added a link from the images page to ShadowyBackAlleys.

I thought about that as well before creating the page, my rationale ended up being that the 'Shadowy Back Alleys of Metafilter' was actually all stuff that was *hosted on* Metafilter, and thus at least quasi-official. My intent was for other excellent and/or useful art related to the site to have a place to live, as well.

Someone made table tent cards and shoutout graphics as well, sometime back; I'd like to find those and get them in there as well.

Awe, external links on the wiki prompt a captcha now instead of the math problem. Too bad I really liked the math, it was so friendly.

Pretty sure I have Banned 4 Lyfe on a backup DVD somewhere... would take half a day to find, though, and I'm in crunch. Anybody else got it?

It was taken down from Flickr a while ago -- I am sure someone has a local copy but I don't think the creator wants the image used, which is a shame.

We need that poorly-shot trainwreck picture that routinely got posted to trainwreck threads back in the Age of Img. Also, Quonsar's other signature pic that featured a robot launching a missile from its nether regions.
