Missing an "L" January 28, 2011 2:08 PM Subscribe
The Challenger writeup has a leading leading with "sipped the surly bonds of earth" - can we get a change to "slipped"?
Interesting that the URL didn't change - is this to maintain continuity?

The URL has changed on the front page. But anything after the number is just filler text anyway and can be changed to whatever you want.

I was all over it seconds after I posted it with a MeMail to Jessamyn. I felt like a fool. I am very glad this could be pointed out on MeTa.

Ah, pb explained it. We can change the link, but the old links with the typo also work. So you can see with this link:
http://www.metafilter.com/100014/Slipped-the-surly-bonds-of-earth-to-touch-the-face-of-YOUR-MOM
also works.

Almost everyone makes typos, but not almost everyone gets the privilege of having a whole post on a web site devoted to their typo.

Also, the final radio call from the shuttle was actually "Go at throttle up," not "Go with throttle up."
