Thanks for adding PSN, pb. And if anyone is interested in Call of Duty 4, Little Big Planet, Burnout Paradise, Bomberman Ultra or Battlefield 1943, feel free to add me.

lashner on XBOX Live and PSN.
1572 1904 0836 3833 for the Wii.
Of course, I'm with the family and not near my consoles.
We can play later though.

Just an idle thought, but if any other expert/hard-level PS3 rockband2-ers want to try for a regular gig, I'd be into that.
I'm thinking a couple hours in the evening, once (maybe twice) a week. Or Sunday afternoon would be good. Any time after the 1st works for me. (I drummed right through the heads on my stock kit and I've got the fancy IED08 on its way.) I've got all the Pixies, Nirvana, NIN, Soundgarden and Wolfmother DLC and a good bit more, but I'm happy with the on-disc songs too, so whatever. I'm also "churl" on PSN.
Let me know if there's any interest. Might be fun!

Mefightclub is also an ongoing place, after this thread scrolls away, to find other hundreds of other Mefights to play console games with. We are solidly PC-centric, but many swing both ways (or even into the forbidden delights of Mac gaming).

Yeah, I can't figure out how to navigate mefightclub. I'm a member there and whatnot... but it just looks like a big, confusing mess.

Yeah, me too.
Also: the public MeFi TF2 server is always empty, and the private one I can never actually get into, possibly because I don't know the password.
(On topic: DuvelPiraat on xbl, if anybody cares.)

My apologies. As the guy who set up and runs the forum there, I was unaware that there were people who didn't understand how to use it. I'm a bit surprised, to be honest: it's about as bog-standard a forum setup as you could ask for.
Ah well, after more than two years, I'm probably not going to change it now. If there's something specific I can help you with, feel free to let me know.

Even better, if you have accounts there, you could start a thread there detailing your problems in understanding how to use the site, which would better help me understand what might be done to improve your experience in using the site.
But that's probably too much to ask.

Okay, I'll bite.
But I'm kind of afraid that I'll list the usability issues I'm having, and then I'll get a hundred replies of "you're an idiot; we like it like that; it's totally obvious". Like when somebody makes a pony request on MeTa.

I hope you do post about it so that we can help you and others figure things out. You might get a few "it seems self evident to me" responses, sure, but many less than you'd think. The MeFighters love to play and talk about games, and we love to help others enjoy their games. It's a good group, I promise!

Sorry, missed this. The TF2 server has been empty lately because everyone has been playing L4D2 mostly +other games. But there are usually people on the servers between 9/10pm and midnight on weekdays. The private server password is on herrdoctor's mefi profile. Also, dont' forget to join the MeFi Steam groups (main group, L4D2 specific group), as there are often announcements about games starting.
And back on topic: The MeFightClub Wiki (one of the top tabs at mefightclub.com) also has gamer tags.

Well, I made my post. It's under MetaMeFight.
Thanks. You'll find in general that despite the pun-name including the word 'fight', we are a much friendlier bunch than you might think.
Except me. I'm a grumpy old fucker.

Speaking of MeFightClub, the Orange Box is just $15 today and contains five highly-recommended games -- including TF2, the wonderful multiplayer FPS everyone in the group plays nightly.
