Comment instead of thread number in Fuzzy Favorites. December 1, 2009 9:29 PM   Subscribe

On this activity page, the "more" on the first item links to http://www.metafilter.com/2839866/We-know-what-happened-because-he-said-yes#2839866; unfortunately, we haven't reached 2.8M posts on MetaFilter. Also, the same comment appears as item 3 of the list, but this time the "more" link works (gets to the right comment in the existing thread).

Looks like there's a bug to track down in the new favorites code, thanks for letting us know.

I fixed up this case.

Not for me; everything's working fine. Is your computer plugged in?

I found the bug that caused this and fixed it up, so I think favorites are back on track.

While we're talking about bugs:

I can find my way to the thread proper by following the "more" link in Dreadnaught's first link above. However, the second link in his post above leads me to a screen reading "this thread does not exist at the moment."

Just letting you know.

The whole point of this bug was that that link was wrong. Note that it goes to thread 2839866.

The thread you are looking for does not exist at the moment.

Something about that message strikes me as.... strange. It makes more sense on just URLS with the #____, but with titles it starts to freak me out.

someone remember to make that number thread with that exact title and give me a heart attack
