Salty Tropical Offseason Meetup II

I'll be visiting family in Esperanza, Vieques, Puerto Rico from July 23 to 28, and would love to say, "Hello, fellow MeFite!" while I'm there. Especially after the emotional highs experienced at your local 10th Anniversary Gathering, I'm sure some of you will need a booster meetup... so, the Medalla Light is on me, the water is warm, one of the brightest bioluminescent bays in the world is just a few hundred yards away. Whaddaya say?

I tried calling a similar meetup last year, extemporaneously, but no takers... hopefully, this will give y'all a little more time to prepare!

Hey, I'd be tempted to fly over on spec, just to see this bioluminescent bay!

I was in Vieques a few years ago and loved it, and would recommend staging a meetup there just so that people can see how beautiful it is.

Alas, I don't have a trip to PR planned this summer. But if anyone's around in late December, I would love to meet up then.

Well I won't be anywhere near Vieques, but I have kayaked and swam in that bioluminescent bay and highly recommend it.

Wow! I spent a week in Esperanza earlier this year and I had no idea there were any MeFites around. Opportunity lost!

Jealous. I LOVED our trip to Vieques. We stayed on the north side, waaay up the hill by the Fuerte de Vieques. Oh, how I wish I could use this as an excuse to come back. Hell, come back to stay... or at least to stock up on Coqui Fire (Passionate Frog).
