Incredibly minor design detail: Could the [add to favorites] button be switched with [!], so that [add to favorites] is adjacent to 'x people marked this as a favorite'? I'm always hitting the flag button when I want to favorite something because it's right next to favorites.
Maybe there's a good reason they are not together that I've missed; I'm also willing to accept that I am the only clumsy/impatient/design obsessed person on MetaFilter and therefore this is a bizarre request.

("Yes", meaning I agree, not "yes" meaning I will grant this, although I wish I could.)

I don't know, I like the flag at the end. It's the last (and least used/important) thing because it's supposed to be kind of ignored until you need it. The plus sign is much larger and easier to hit.

Oh ok, we're just talking about posts (I added this post as a favorite to test). Yeah, we can move the [!] out to the far right to match the comment line.

But the first and last items in a sequence are generally more prominent/noticeable.

Oh, I get it now. Posts vs. Comments. And for a second I felt all special, "oooh, Mathowie favorited ME!!" (but I couldn't figure out why. And now I can. And its gone.)

I've always assumed that I only get favorites when people who are trying to flag me click the wrong icon in their haste. In other words: Please don't change this!

The pluses and the minuses were getting all confused
Some MeFites were mistaking them, and buttons were misused
Were all those favorites from the past in fact just wrongly choosed?
These urgent matters did transpire while most folks merely snoozed.

The cabal hasn't actually run anything since 2002. I am, of course, not at liberty to say more.

Of course the cabal doesn't run anything, they have a secret army of yetis and liberal bloggers to run stuff for them.
The cabal stays at home drinking cocktails made from bottom shelf vodka, wheat bran, and the blood of the innocent (sometimes they put celery in it!), watching TWO youtube videos at the same time on their dual monitor setups. The last member of the cabal who tried to run something himself fell down and can't get up.

I've kind of always hated all that text clutter in the posts one, and now, with the bracket sandwich thing that's going on, it just looks extra sloppy.
Is there any reason it can't be the same format as the comments favorites?

What is the opposite of boyzone anyway? I mean girlzone just doesn't cut it. Womanzone is no good either, maybe something completely different?
Vaginatown?
Wymyn's Collective?
Ladyparts?
Chicks' Tract?
Female Forum?
