Would anyone be interested in a Whistler meetup?
Yea, so I live in Whistler and I'd be totally willing to take people skiing if they can keep up. If not there's a few great bars around town where one can play pool. I don't really know what goes on at a meetup I've never been to one before.

If, like me, you're wondering where Whistler is, it's here. Contrary to this post's framing, it is not an isolated and sovereign nation floating in the air somewhere. It's in BC, Canadia.

I think there was a Whistler meet-up previously, but it was framed as a Vancouver/Seattle/Bellingham meet-up at Whistler. That might be more of a draw (I was living in the area at the time).

thx for the advice. I'm pretty sure there was only one other Mefite who actually lived in Whistler and they moved to Vancouver. Okay, so does anyone in the surrounding area want to do a Mefi meetup at Whistler?

There was lots of interest in a meetup last year. Thread 1. Thread 2. Thread 3. In the end, only only two or three people made it. Destination meetups are hard to make happen.
It's certainly a great idea, and I would love to attend but for the fact that I am waiting for knee surgery.

I've got a trip planned Jan 14-19. I'd totally be into it if it works out. I really wanted to go to the last one.
