MeFi breaking WebKit Nightly June 21, 2008 7:31 PM   Subscribe

Any other WebKit Nightly users noticing the MeFi front page main content is being shoved below the sidebar until you hit 'Refresh'?

This started happening for me a couple of days ago. I am assuming it is a WebKit bug and not a problem with MeFi since hitting 'Refresh' makes the page draw as normal. I've created Bugzilla bug # 19707 to report the issue, just wondering if other people are experiencing the same thing, or if it's happening on other sites in WebKit besides MeFi.

IT's not a webkit thing -- does it for me all the time in Mozilla 1.3, though the cure there is to resize the window.

Nope. Mac build r34728 renders it properly the first time over here.

WORKSFORME, Safari 4.0 DP 5526.11.2 although admittedly that's not a hot-off-the-press nightly.

Yeah I just noticed it happening a couple of days ago with the new nightlies.

I've noticed this in cases where a post has a long title, since the Greasemonkey script that shows the titles on the front page shoves hyphens between all the titular words, resulting in a single ginormous glob of a title that is wider than the space between the left margin and the sidebar.

(I suppose it's probably worth noting that I have no idea what WebKit is, so that previous comment may not apply even remotely.)

Doesn't seem to be happening any more. Strange. I wonder if it was due to some particular thing on the sidebar..

Oh well
