Work PC keeps remembering my login. December 11, 2007 3:27 AM Subscribe
I once, months ago logged into MeFi from PC at work; each time I come back I'm still logged in.
I've googled and read the faq http://faq.metafilter.com/tags/login ... Have cleared all cookies etc. ... The weirdest thing is that it only happens on this one PC that I need to use maybe twice a month. Thank you very much for suggestions on how to protect my account.

You have clicked the signout link on the top right, right? I mean it's a dumb question, but you didn't actually say you'd done it.

Yep, I stay logged in at work unless I log out. Quitting the browser does not log you out.

Thanks for the responses so far! To clarify:
- I cleared cookies
- Yep, I signed out (yet every time I come back it's logged in again)
It might be that roaming profile. I'll go really cookie monster on it, see if that helps.
Hugs crap under the comment box...??? *completely puzzled* where did it say hugs?? ... not that hugs aren't great

Mess Free Cookies
Your family loves the little shaped cookies that you make that are rolled in powdered sugar. The only problem is that it makes such a mess!
Next time, grab a large plastic bag and fill with powdered sugar. Gently drop in your slightly cooled cookies and toss to coat. When you are done just toss the bag!
HTH!

I believe I've related this little nugget before, but here goes anyway:
One of our local radio station morning shows uses the word "hug" as a substitute for the word "fuck", so as not to violate FCC regs, i.e.: "The traffic this morning was huggin' ridiculous."
So the little blurb under the live preview is much more fun if you think about it that way.

Everyone does not need a hug. Many people need a punch in the face.

Sounds like chlorus has a case of the Mondays!
So it's not Monday. So what? Go hug yourself.

Thank you for your interest in hugs. Due to an unusually high volume of people interested in hugs, please hold and the next available hugger will assist you. Please note that hugs may be monitored for quality assurance.
Be sure to ask your hugger about neck hugs!
