Ask.me popular favorites November 28, 2007 6:24 PM Subscribe
It's nice that we have popular favorites for ask.me for the last 7 days and the last thirty days, but can we get all time favorites as well? (also links to the 7 days and 30 days on the popular questions page.)
done!

Quick, is it at all worth it to read through any of the 7 million comments on the purification dog org thread?

The first comment in the thread two weeks ago points to the ALL TIME BIGGEST FAVORITES LIST.

I'm glad you posted this, because I was going to post asking for a page with favorites from the last 24 hours, not knowing it already existed, thus bringing shame and humiliation upon me and my family.

Would it be possible to have an "all time favorite comments" page?

Damn, where did it go? I found the favorites of all time the other day (and subsequently got lost in the purification thread), but now I can't find it. I click on Favorites, nothing. I click on Popular, nothing. And what is the difference between favorites and popular anyway? I'm so confused. I know it's like when you're walking around looking for your sunglasses and they're on your head, but I just can't figure it out.

Oh crap, I just found it...the link is here in the top of this thread. However, I am more confused because it's located under a tab called "Popular Favorites". How is popular favorites different from popular?

Ok. I took a look at the green, blue, and grey. It appears that the blue has an extra link in the top bar, called "Popular", which takes you to the same place as the "Popular Favorites" tab, just below and to the right. The other pages don't have the "Popular" link at the top, which makes it seem sorta redundant, IMO, on the blue. Also, I noticed that the blue has an extra tab, "My Comments", that the others don't. I think it'd be pretty useful to have a "My Comments" tab on the gray and green, especially if one gets used to using it on the blue, but then must go to their profile page and rifle through "All Activity" to get that same feature out of the gray and green.
Also, it wasn't until this thread that I started noticing/using the "Popular Favorites" tab. That is why I couldn't find the new "of all time" feature...because clicking on "Favorites" (from the blue, grey or green) gives you this:
Incidentally, clicking on "Popular" on the blue gives you this:
My point is that if we have all this different avenues to get to different levels of favorites, we should complete the loop and connect them. Otherwise I have to remember that if I want to get to the new "of all time" feature I can ONLY get there through the "Popular Favorites" TAB, and I must be on the appropriate place (green, blue, or gray) to see the all time favorites from that section (there is no "favorites of all time, across the board" feature. Yet.)
Sorry to be so nitpicky! I hope I'm helping and not just 'tating and creating (more work for you guys).

Favorites are a way to save pointers to posts and comments on the site. You can also view a list of the most popular in the last 7 days. You can also view favorites from your contacts.Which doesn't give you a way to click through to the new "of all time" feature. :(
Incidentally, clicking on "Popular" on the blue gives you this:
Popular Favorites...which, again, is the same as "Popular Favorites".
Posts and comments from across all sites, marked as a favorite most often in the past seven days.
