iTunes seemed to have downloaded it just fine for me. Am saving it for later in the week when I'm internet deprived though.

Texty porn != wankery, jessamyn. It's erotica.

The Morning News article was written Kevin Guilfoile, not Matt Baldwin -- is the former a regular around here?

Yeah, jessamyn corrects me in the background on that morning news guess of mine. I also mispronounce Ayn Rand like I often do as "Ann Rind" instead of "Eye-n Rand"

Oh, same. I can't even count the number of times I embarassed myself at salons, bris', and happenins before coining this little association/rhyme trick:
Objectivist-->Selfish-->Mine-->Ayn

Maybe I missed this somewhere else, but what happened to the call-in questions? I liked that feature of the podcasts.

The call-in questions are a little labor intensive on mathowie's end and require some advance prep, but we hope to be getting back to them soon.

Jessamyn -
The best veggie burger recipe I know is also pretty easy. It's in How it all Vegan (here), or possibly the second book in the series - Garden of Vegan. In general, the recipes in those books are both tasty and simple.
Anyway, this recipe involves grated beets which gives it a nice color too. I make 'em with oven fries and my kids and I both love them.

I only have one Christmas present purchased so far and it's The Daring Book for Girls for my daughter. I flipped through it on the train (okay, I ignored my big boy adult book and read half of it on the train) and I have to say that mothershock rocks in so many ways, I don't know how she gets any sleep. She must be up all night thinking of new ways to rock. Thanks, mothershock!

Oh I got a question in the podcast! And to think I almost missed it.
And I pronounce it lange-n-u although I admit it really doesn't scan well and I probably should have picked a name on here that is somewhat more pronounceable given that I introduce myself with it.

Mothershock on NPR.
And thanks. As a pop of two of them, this is an awesome resource. There was a moment while listening when the too well-informed parent in me said, Oh my, Valerian root can be dangerous.
But that's the point. Isn't it.
