Surveh? August 29, 2007 11:29 AM Subscribe
When was the last time we had a Mefi survey? Given the growing number of members, it would be interesting to learn how the demographics have changed (or stayed the same).
Ah -- finally found the link to the one survey I remember.

Q: 20% of Americans can't identify the US on a map. Why do you think that is?

I think that a survey of that caliber is a lot of work and time, and is best volunteered for than asked for.

I personally believe...that U. S. Metafilterians are unable to do so ... because some people out there in our nation don't have MetaTalks and I believe that our other sites like such as in BoingBoing and the Google everywhere like such as and I believe that they should our meta over here in the gray should help the blue or should help South Africa and should help the Google and the other posters so we will be able to build up our future for our children.

What would you want to see on a survey? Been a while since I looked at that previous one you linked, but what works and what would need changing, etc.

I like pie. Make sure I'm on the list for free pie. Mmmmmm, pie! Banana cream is good, but so are most other fruit pies. I'd even accept a tart of some sort. But remember, when you think of pie, think of me.

I just want to know what percentage of MeFites can't resist the smartass answer, and how that's affected:
1)when it's anonymous
2)when the smartass answer is an actual option, and
3)when there's a text box where you can fill in your own.

Ah yes, the survey. I remember sufficiently little about doing it that I could be persuaded to run it again, if people liked the way the last one worked.
We'll need to find a better way of verifying people are MeFi users than the string on the userpage hack though, as that seemed to cause lots of confusion and userpages were actually broken for some users (has that been fixed?)
